Grammar Focus: เพราะ (phró) = “because”
The conjunction เพราะ connects two ideas to show cause and effect. It appears throughout this passage and is one of the building blocks for sounding more natural at the upper-intermediate level. Here are examples pulled directly from the listening exercise:

Notice how เพราะ always introduces the reason. It sits between the result and the cause, the same way “because” does in English. Once you internalize this pattern, your spoken Thai will sound more connected and less like a list of separate statements.
